FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long do I need to have been practicing yoga in order to enroll?

There is no minimum requirement in order to enroll in the Inspired Thrive Teacher Training Program. What we do request is that you have a strong commitment to the principals and practice of Yoga.

I have a specific style of yoga I want to teach. What style of yoga does your program encompass?

The IT TTP is based in the Eight Limbs of Yoga, which constitute the basis of all lineages of yoga as we understand them. Our focus is on teaching Vinyasa Based classes, with an emphasis on philosophy, ethics, teaching fundamentals, meditation, and asana, in order to create a strong foundation for you to ultimately teach any style of yoga. Our goal is to help you find your teaching voice and your own inner teacher, and as you cultivate your teaching abilities and interests over the course of our program and that you leave a stronger student and ready to teach a successful Vinyasa class if that is your desire.

I'm not sure if I want to teach yoga. Is that okay?

Of course! We see the IT TTP as a first step into deeper self-study and into the universal study of yoga. This program will allow you to experience more freedom, ease, and safety in any future yoga class, but it will also help you develop a consistent home practice. However, it is important to remember that a significant portion of this program focuses on the elements, study and practice of teaching. Even if you have no intention of teaching yoga, you will be asked to participate in the teaching portion of the training, and who knows, with an open mind, and an open heart, you may discover a teacher inside of you that you had no idea existed! What IT TTP does require is 100% commitment to your own growth, to fulfilling what matter most to you, both on the mat and off the mat.

What if I have to miss a day?

Please only enroll if you have looked at the dates and can work them all into your schedule. That said, if you must miss one day, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule within reason, helping you to make up missed class activities and homework and/or scheduling make-up days if necessary.

We look forward to hearing from you!
